The death has occurred of Kenny Morris, Waltham Abbey, Essex and Madden’s Buildings, Blackpool, Cork. Kenny passed away in the loving care of the Mercy University Hospital Cork on the 15th of January 2026 after a short illness.
Kenny was the son of the late Peter and Angela Morris.
Sadly missed by his many relatives in Ireland, UK, New Zealand and Australia.
Kenny is also sadly missed by a large circle of friends and fans worldwide.
He became prominent and famous as the first drummer with the acclaimed punk rock group Siouxsie and the Banshees.
Kenny was also an artist, film maker and writer.
Visitation at O’ Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Wednesday January 21st from 6.00pm to 7.00pm, with prayers at 6.45pm. Requiem Mass in The North Cathedral on Thursday 22nd January at 12.00 noon, which will be live-streamed on www.churchservices.tv/corkcathedral followed by Service at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, which will be live-streamed on www.islandcrematorium.ie
