KEVIN BEHAN

BEHAN, Kevin, known as “Kev” to his nearest and dearest and “Beano” to everyone else that knew him, a man from Coolock (Dublin 5), all his life. Passed away 22nd October 2024, peacefully, after an illness bravely borne, at Beaumont Hospital surrounded by all that mattered to him, family, music and poetry. Pre-deceased by his loving mam and best friend Greta. Kev will be deeply missed by his loving “babies” Hazel, John, Karl, Paul and Emily, their mother Cathy, his little sister Lisa, treasured grandchildren Kealan, Georgia-May, Émie, Katie, Seán, Sofia, Bobby, Lucy, Charlie and Otis, sons-in-law Martin and Ethan, daughters-in-law Alix, Maria and Úna, brother-in-law Stephen, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family, a lifelong wealth of good friends from all around.

 

Kev was a well-known Community Activist noted for his voluntary commitment to the local community, he always worked with others so that they could achieve their potential and he was proud to be the Chairman of RASP (Coolock Drug Rehabilitation and Youth Services).

Kev will repose at Jennings Funeral Directors, Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock, Dublin 17

Friday, 25th October, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm.

A Cremation Service to celebrate Kev’s life will be held at Dardistown Crematorium, Old Airport Road, Co. Dublin

Saturday, 26th October, 2024 at 2pm.
