Kevin Rabbett (Caoimhín), Aughleam, Blacksod, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly of Srah, Tourmakeady peacefully at his residence on 23rd May 2021. Predeceased by his recently deceased wife Patricia (Tisha), sisters Maura McGing (Ayle, Westport) and Breege Gannon (Lecanvey, Westport) and brothers in law Paddy Conroy (Belmullet) and Michael Hussey (Ballina). Beloved father of Mary Howard (Aughleam) and Ciarán Rabbett (Aughleam). He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, son in law Andrew Howard, Ciarán's partner Rachel Barrett, grandchildren Ruairí, Conn, Mae, Eleanor and Aaron, Ruairí’s mother Laura Togher, nephews and nieces of the McGing/Gannon families, brother in law Noel Conroy (Dublin), sisters in law Maureen Hussey (Ballina), Mary Conroy (Dublin) and Mary Conroy (Belmullet), former colleagues at St. Brendan’s College (Belmullet), relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Remains will depart from McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Wednesday afternoon at 1pm, arriving at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Aughleam for Funeral Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in Faulmore Cemetery.
Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing at 2pm with all other funeral services available for viewing at 9pm on Wednesday to be viewed on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to “Mayo/Roscommon Hospice. Donations may be made online via the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice website.
In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, Kevin’s funeral will be private to family and close friends only, with a maximum of fifty people in attendance. For those who would like to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passes through the town and villages on Wednesday en route to the church and following Funeral Mass en route from the church to the cemetery via Blacksod, please stand in a socially distanced manner on the streets, roadsides, outside the church and cemetery, ensuring public health and safety is being upheld to the highest standard. The Rabbett family appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.
Memorial Mass for Kevin will be held at a later date. For those who cannot attend the funeral due to the restrictions, please leave a personal message for the family on the condolence book on this webpage.
