Kevin Rutledge

Kevin A. Rutledge (Art Historian and late of Rathgar, Dublin 6W) died peacefully on 6th September 2025, in his 86th year after a long illness in the wonderful care of the staff at St. James’s Hospital and the tender support of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross; Beloved brother of Roberta (Stansfield - London) and Brian (Portobello) and their partners Tony and Maneewan. Deeply regretted by his siblings, his cherished nieces Cara Bradley and Emma Angood, and their families in London. Treasured cousin of the Plunkett and Rutledge families in Ireland, the UK and Europe. Kevin will be greatly missed by Feilim, his devoted circle of friends and neighbours, and members of the wider art world.

Kevin was a gifted man who was a gift to us all.

Kevin’s Funeral Mass will take place in The Church of St Paul of the Cross, Mount Argus on Wednesday morning at 11.30am (and will be streamed on the parish website link https://www.churchservices.tv/mountargus) following which he will be buried with his parents, the late Joseph and Eileen Rutledge at Mount Jerome Cemetery.
