Kirsten Hyland (née Giessen) of Tintean Risigh, Old Dublin Rd, and formerly of Dereen Heights, Tullow Rd., Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on September 8th, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Beloved mother of Denise and Michéal Hyland, adored grandmother of Joseph and cherished daughter of Christel and the late Fritz Rolf Giessen.,

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, mother, grandchild, Denise’s partner Iulius (Neon), Michéal’s partner Niamh, sister Saskia, relatives, extended family, especially the Hyland family, her good neighbours and friends,

May Kirsten’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., (Eircode R93 E863) from 5pm on Tuesday, September 10th, concluding with Prayers at 8pm that evening. Removal from there on Wednesday at 10.30am to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by a cremation Service for family afterwards in Newlands Cross Crematorium.
