Kit Hassett (nee McGann),

passed away peacefully in Marymount Hospice on July 3rd 2025, surrounded by her loving family and her best friend Olive.

Daughter of the late George and Rita McGann and grandmother of the late Baby Jane Hassett.

Kit was a devoted mother and best friend to Michelle, Joanne, Sineád and Melissa and a cherished grandmother to Dara, Ciara, Callum, Ódhran, Caelan and Finán.

Kit is sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family, brothers Ted and William, sister Marian, sons-in-law Mark, Eamon and John, Kit's treasured friends Olive and Maggie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Hannon's Funeral Home Doneraile, Eircode P51HN30 on Saturday, July 5th from 6pm to 8pm followed by removal to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Doneraile , Eircode P51W2XF.

Funeral Mass on Sunday, July 6th at 11am followed by burial in Oldcourt cemetery Doneraile.

Kit's family would like to extend their thanks to all those that supported Kit during her illness, Dr Aidan Kelleher and the staff of Town Centre Medical Practice, Mallow, Maureen and the staff of Doneraile Pharmacy and the doctors nurses and staff of Mallow General Hospital.

Finally,the family would like to extend a very special word of thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of St Christopher's ward in Marymount Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness and support shown to Kit in the final days of her life.

It was very much appreciated.
