The death has occurred of Lal (Laurence) Faherty, Lakeland, Portacarron, Oughterard, Co. Galway, June 5th 2022, in his 84th year. Peacefully, in the care of all at Mowlam Nursing Home Moycullen and his loving family. Predeceased by his darling daughter Laurene (1989) and his loving wife Mary (2018). Sadly missed by his daughters Anne and Aileen, his adoring grandchildren Aoife, Evan and Jack, sister Mary (Texas), brother Padraig, sons in law Gary and Stephen, niece Catherine, nephews Brian and Patrick, sisters in law Anne, Martha, and Helen, brother in law Norman, cousins Larry, Frank, Kevin, and Mike and all his dear cousins from his extended Faherty and O’Connor families and wide circle of friends. "Tight lines!"

Reposing at Walsh’s Funeral Home, Oughterard, on Thursday, 9th June, from 5 o’clock until 6.30 o’clock. Arriving at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Oughterard, on Friday, 10th June, for requiem Mass at 12 o’clock. Burial immediately afterwards in Kilcummin Cemetery, Oughterard.
