Larry (Laurence) Burke, Hawkfield, Newbridge, Co. Kildare. Formerly Rathangan, Co. Kildare. Peacefully, and in the presence of his loving family, on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025.

Beloved husband to Betty, his devoted wife for 60 years. Treasured father to Kevin, Aidan, Brian, Clare, and Laura. Much loved father-in-law to Sheila, Kristen, Julia, and Dave. Cherished grandfather to Cullen, Keva, Emma, Gavin, Grace, Calum, Ewan, Cian, Leo, Ally, Ellis, and Arthur, who brought joy and pride to his days.

He will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Larry was held in deep affection by a circle of steadfast neighbours and lifelong friends—loyal companions whose presence was a constant source of unwavering support throughout his life.

He was predeceased by his parents Catherine & Patrick and siblings Mary Kate, Pat Joe, Frank, Ita, Anthony, Christine and Gerry who now welcome him home. Larry’s quiet strength, generous spirit, love and loyalty for those around him leave an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Reposing at his family home (W12 EK72) on Sunday (13th April) from 2pm concluding at 5pm. Removal by Glennons Funeral Directors on Sunday evening to arrive at the Church of the Assumption and St. Patrick, Rathangan for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 11am, followed by burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Rathangan. Larry's Funeral Mass will be live stream and can be viewed on the webstream link below.
