Larry Murphy

Larry died peacefully at home at the age of 96 surrounded by his loving family on May 4th 2021. Predeceased by his son Christy, brothers Ned, Jimmy, Sean and Fr Pat, sisters Mary and Bridie. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, daughter’s Margaret, Virginia and Kathleen, sons Patrick, Eddie, Aiden and Vincent, sisters Annie and Kathleen, brother Christy, daughter in-law Marie, sons in-law Martin and Marcus, grandchildren Sarah, Sinead, Rachel, Louise, Niall, Edel, Claire and Declan, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Due to Government advice regarding public gatherings a Private Funeral Mass for immediate family will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, May 6th, in the church of The Immaculate Conception, Newcastle. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on https://churchmedia.tv/camera/the-church-of-the-immaculate-conception.   Burial afterwards in the Clonkeenkerrill Cemetery.  A Memorial Mass in celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date.  Those who would wish to attend the funeral but cannot due to current covid restrictions are invited to leave messages of sympathy on the condolence link below which will be greatly appreciated by the family.
