Larry Smyth

Larry (Laurence) Smyth, College Road, Mountbellew, County Galway, passed away suddenly at home on 20th October 2025.

Predeceased by his daughter Emma Jane. Beloved son of the late Martin and Teresa Smyth, Kilclonfert, Co. Offaly. Predeceased by his siblings Robert, Alice, Sean, Eugene and Des.

 

Larry will be sadly missed by his wife Margaret, his sons Barry and Lorcan, daughters-in-law Breege and Sarah, grandchildren Ryan, Oisín, Éabha and Caoilinn. Sisters Maureen and Eithne, brothers Silvester, Brendan and Raymond, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Franciscan College Oratory, Mountbellew (H53 WE00) on Friday 24th October, from 6pm to 8pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, 25th October, at 12 noon in St Mary’s Church, Mountbellew, with burial afterwards in the New Cemetery.
