Laurence (Larry, Laurie) O'Dwyer

Laurence (Larry / Laurie) O’Dwyer of Fr. Russell Road, Raheen (formerly of Conigar, Mungret and Mount Vincent, Rosbrien and many years at Irish Cement). October 16th 2022. Larry passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. after a short illness,  Larry was predeceased in 2018 by his wife of 57 years Ann (née Quane), and by his brothers and sisters John, Rita, Aidan, Clare, Frank, Greg, Úna and Vincent. Larry will be greatly missed by his son Derek, his daughters, Hilary and Laura, his daughter-in-law Trisha and sons-in-law Tim and Conleth.  Larry adored, and was adored by, his grandchildren, Áine, Méabh, Cian, Mona, Finn, Saidhbhe and Neamhain, and his three great-grandchildren, Rian, Donnacha and Éanna.  Larry’s loss will be deeply felt by his family, including his sisters-in-law and brothers-law, his nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his many friends, his former colleagues at Irish Cement and his wonderful neighbours in Bellevue Court.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Thursday evening, 20th October, from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to St. Joseph’s Church, O’ Connell Avenue. Requiem Mass on Friday, 21st October, at 11.30am followed by Cremation Service at Shannon Crematorium at 2pm.
