Liam Canny

Liam passed away peacefully at Friar's Lodge Nursing home, Ballinrobe, in the company of his loving and much loved family, on January 14th 2025.

 

Predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Freda, his wife, Maura (nee Loughlin), his brothers-in-law, Billy Mellett and, most recently, (13th January 2025) Pat Loughlin.

 

Liam will be most sorrowfully and deeply missed by his partner, Mary, sons Gerard and Martin, daughters, Attracta (Connell), Una (Cahill) and Maria (Dunne), sons-in-law, Pat, Tom and Peter, Gerard's partner, Mary and Martin's partner, Nora and his twelve adored grandchildren.

 

Remembered with love by his sisters, Mary Pears (Canada), Patsy Mellett (Kilmaine), Sr., Attracta, and Bríd Keohan (Castlebar), brothers-in-law, Bill Loughlin, Cliff Pears and Billy Keohan, nephews, nieces and all extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Canny family home in Kilmaine (F31KF97) on Friday evening 17th January, from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral Cortege will leave from Liam's home on Saturday morning ,18th January, to arrive at St., Patrick's Church, Kilmaine (F31A348) where Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11.30 a.m. with funeral proceeding afterwards to the New Cemetery, Kilmaine.
