Raheny, Dublin

FARRELL, Liam (Raheny, Dublin) – 27th February 2021, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of Beaumont Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Mary and much loved father to Derek, Liam and Gillian; very sadly missed by his children, grandchildren Shane, Matt, Michael, Stephen, Conor, Alex and Isabel, daughter-in-law Bernie, son-in-law Juan, sisters, brother, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

 

Liam was a  co-founder of Grange Woodbine Sports Club, Football Club, Residents Association. and a co-Founder of North Dublin Schoolboys/Schoolgirls League (NDSL). He was the president of NDSL and a committee member of Grange Woodbine Resident’s Association Club until his passing.

A private funeral will take place for immediate family, due to Government advice regarding public gatherings. Those who would like to have attended the funeral, you may if you wish, leave a message in the Condolence Book at the bottom of the page. Family flowers only please. The funeral cortège will drive down Grange Park Avenue onto Grange Park Rd and will then pass by Grange Woodbine Club and the family home on Raheny Rd on route to the cemetery passing by the home of NDSL, Oscar Traynor Coaching & Development Centre. As a mark of respect anyone wishing to line the route are welcome to do so, while observing all guidelines relating to social distancing and the wearing of a face mask.
