Liam Gavin (Commandant Retired)

(Athenry and formerly of Dalton Place, Salthill, Galway)

After a short illness, but peacefully in the presence of his loving family. Beloved husband of Marie and father of Síofra, Shane, Ronan and Liam. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, daughter and sons, his brother Seamus, grandchildren Deane, Siún, Ella, Conor, Abbie and Kian, his son-in-law Seán, daughters-in-law Anita, Tracy and Rachel, sister-in-law Mary, nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Stroke Unit, NUH Galway, for their care and compassion during Liam's illness.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Liam  on Tuesday 31 August at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill.  The current attendance limit at the Church is  50 mourners and all funeral arrangements will comply with this guideline.  Private cremation will follow. Family flowers only, please.
