Hearts are broken to share the sad news that the one and only Liam Keegan, of Bayside, Sutton, passed away peacefully on April 7th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Liam was one of life's true characters, someone whose very presence brought light and fun, so much fun, into the lives of all who knew him. His gift was that he made you feel so special, like you were the centre of his universe at that very moment, because you were and you felt it. With his wonderful stories, wicked sense of humor and passion for life, he simply lit up every room he entered. His unwavering love and total devotion to his wife, Peg, their children, and grandchildren were the heartbeat of a family filled with the deepest connections and the most cherished memories. Liam and Peg created a beautiful life together and his memory will live on in our hearts.
Liam lived his life to the fullest, a character and a showman, and someone who always spread light and positivity, enriching the lives of everyone he encountered on his journey. He taught us to live life with no regrets and find happiness in the smallest of places - we found that in his company, always.
He was predeceased by his beloved children, Billy and Alison, whose memories he held so dear. Liam’s passing leaves a huge void in the life of his one and only true love, Peg, his wonderful children Mandy, Aisling/Ash, Lesley/Les and Andrew/Bud his sons-in-law Mike, Crevan, and Conrad, his daughter-in-law Helen, and his adoring grandchildren Laura, Sean, Jake, Zack, Amber, Harry, George, William, and Eille. He will also be fondly remembered by his brothers Brian, Noel and Des, his sister Maura, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday morning at 10am in the Church of the Resurrection, Bayside, followed by cremation at Dardistown Crematorium. Liam’s legacy of love, laughter, and light will forever remain in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
