With sadness in my heart, I inform you that on April 18th 2025 our Aunt has left us forever.

According to her wishes there will be no funeral ceremony and her ashes will be placed in the grave with her husband George.

 

May she rest in peace.

 

Late of Prague, Connecticut and New York.

Liba passed peacefully surrounded by her loving friends in the gentle care 0f St.Theresa's Ward, UHG.

 

Liba escaped the communist regime in Czech in 1964 and made a new life in the USA with her husband George, where she became a lecturer in Graphic design and worked in the pharmaceutical industry.

In 2007, after George died, Liba sold her house in the US and fulfilled her dream of moving to Ireland. She created a beautiful new set of friends who were there to support her as she struggled with health issues, that she never complained about.

She was our neighbour, friend, inspiration, animal lover, gifted artist and crafter, and honorary family member to so many people in Kinvara. She loved to explore The Burren and Connemara.

 

A great loss. Farewell Liba.

 

Liba will be sadly missed by her Niece Eva Stindlova and family in the Czech Republic, her adored adopted Kinvara grandchildren, Arthur, Alice, Lorna, Grace, Karolina, Gracie, Sammy, Stella, Nicky and Anna and all her friends.

 

Liba's family and friends wish to express their thanks to UHG, the palliative care team on St. Theresa's Ward and all those who supported her in her final days.

At Liba's request her funeral will be private.
