Lilly (Phyllis) died peacefully surrounded by those she loved, in the late hours of Saturday, 21 February 2026 in the wonderful care of the Galway Hospice. Deeply mourned by her loving husband and soulmate Udo, brothers Alex, Paul and Johnny, sister Regina, sisters-in-law Zelda, Fiona, Birgit, Katrin, Anna and Lisa, brothers-in-law Mark and Friedhelm, nieces Emma, Stacey and Nicole, nephew Mark, grandnephews Nova and Jesse, grandnieces Bobbi and Amy, Megan and Katie, relatives and friends both in Ireland and Germany.
May her gentle soul rest in peace
Funeral Arrangements
Tuesday, 24th February 2026 -Lilly (Phyllis) will lie in Repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, (H91 V1K8) from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be no Removal to St. Joseph’s Church this evening.
Wednesday, 25th February 2026 Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Lilly (Phyllis) on arrival at St. Joseph’s Church, Presentation Road in advance of Mass commencing at 11 a.m. Mass will be live streamed on https://mcn.live/Camera/st-josephs-church-galway Private Cremation to follow.

Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Road works continue within the city, with road diversions.
Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.
