The death has occurred of
Lionel Gallagher
Peacefully at St. John’s Community Hospital.
Formerly of Carrick on Shannon.
Long service as vice principal and teacher at Sligo Grammar School, founder and Director of The Hawk’s Well Theatre and member of the Sligo Drama Circle.
Adored husband of Joan, loving father of Conor, Fionnuala, Clodagh, Darina and Fergal.
Predeceased by his brothers Dermot and Niall.
Lionel will be sadly missed by his brother Brian, foster son Tommy, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, Ìosac, Meave, Blàithìn, Oisin, Conor, Aengus, Ròisìn, Cormac, Oscar, Danny, Eanna, Mella, Sisters-in-law, Maeve, Olive, Mildred and Inga, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at The Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo (f91yr61) on Friday 17th January from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral will arrive to the Nazareth Chapel, Chapel Hill, Sligo (F91DD720) on Saturday for requiem mass at 12:00pm followed by burial in Sligo Cemetery.
