LIONEL SIMPSON Carrowmore, Kilteevan, Co. Roscommon. (Peacefully) on the 7th of October 2025, in the tender care of the doctors and nurses of Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Lionel is predeceased by his parents George and Ethel, and his infant son Jason.

 

Deeply loved and missed by his wife Dorothy, sons Craig and Mark, and beloved grandson Eóghan, sister Jennifer, brother Howard, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many good friends.

 

AT REST

 

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Thursday evening from 5 o’c until 6.30 o’c. Removal from his home on Friday morning, arriving to Saint Coman’s Parish Church, Roscommon for funeral service at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery, Roscommon.
