Formerly of Glenard Avenue, Salthill

On Monday, October 13th Loraine died very peacefully surrounded by her family and in the exceptional care of the Galway Hospice following an illness bravely borne. Predeceased by her beloved baby daughter Emily, parents Brian and Marge and sister Sharon.

 

Deeply mourned by her heartbroken children Lisa, Stuart, Gary, Sinéad and Adam. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sister Cerenna and brother Roger and their families, the extended Wright and Heffernan family, former nursing colleagues and friends.

Funeral Arrangements:

Wednesday, 15th October 2025

Loraine will lie in Repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Removal to the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Killannin, Rosscahill.

 

Thursday, 16th October 2025

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Loraine at 12 noon and following Mass, she will be laid to rest with Emily in Killannin cemetery adjacent to the Church. Mass will be livestreamed - st-annins-church - MCN

​​​​No flowers please. Memorial donations if desired will be gratefully appreciated by the Galway Hospice.

Parking & Entrance to the funeral parlour - Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking on Fr. Griffin Road, The Claddagh, Henry Street and Sea Road and scarce on Munster Avenue. Car Parks within walking distance: Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.
