Louis McDermott

Formerly of Ballygar, County Galway.

On the 10th of May 2025, Louis passed away very peacefully in his 90th year, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Breege and Thomas, brother Paddy and sister Annie Conlon. Beloved husband of Margaret. Will be sadly missed by his wife, daughter Claire, son-in-law James, his adoring grandchildren James and Katie, brother Joe, sisters Mary, Breege, Peggy and Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing in Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin (H91 CK84), on Tuesday the 13th of May from 5pm. Removal at 6:30pm to The Church of the Resurrection Ballinfoyle. Louis’ Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday the 14th of May at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore.
