The death has occurred of Madeleine Birdy (née Marron). Lurgans, Carrickmacross. 2nd July 2025. Peacefully, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family.

 

Predeceased by her beloved son Gavin and her parents Pete & Katie.

 

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family; her husband Cathal & her sons Gerard (Suzanne), Dermot (Laura), Colm (Martina) & Brian (Mariuccia), her much-loved grandchildren Aaron, Emily, Sean, Ben, Liam, James, Molly, Ciarán, Eoghan, Niamh, Aoife, Gavin & Cillian, her brothers PJ, Bernard & Mac and her sisters Angela & Mary, her extended family, friends & neighbours.

Madeleine will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Friday, 4th July, from 4pm until 8pm.

 

Madeleine's funeral cortège will leave her home, Lurgans, on Saturday, 5th July, proceeding on foot via the Pound, the Bridewell & Main Street, to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 2pm.
