Madge McCarthy
(née Seery)

Madge McCarthy (nee Seery): Moate Nursing Home, formerly of Ryevale Lawns, Leixlip, Berystede, Leeson Park, Dublin and Mount Temple, Moate. Died July 8th 2021, in her 101st year, peacefully, surrounded by devoted family and in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Moate Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Edward (Ned), daughter Joan, brothers Tom, Joe, Frank and Mickey, grandson Eoin and granddaughter Joanne. Sadly missed by her sons Eamon and Michael, her daughters Ann (Galvin Flynn), Rosaleen (Miskellc) and Marian (Boyle), daughters in law Shelia and Deirdre, sons in law Michael and Gerald, nieces Rosemary and Bernadette, her 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

May Madge Rest in Peace.

Madge will repose at her grandaughter Annette Dalton’s, residence Lake Rd, Moate.

In keeping with current government guidelines regarding public gatherings, a private funeral will take place for Madge on Saturday at 12 noon in The Carmelite Church, Moate with burial afterwards in Rosemount Cemetery.

Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot do so, may leave a message of “condolence” in the section below.
