MAEVE CRONIN (née Vereker) Midleton, Co Cork and formerly of Tralee, Co Kerry.

 

After a long illness, borne with immense courage, patience and quiet strength, on Thursday 9th October 2025, Maeve passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the warm, compassionate care of all at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, Cork.

Predeceased and reunited with her beloved husband Frank, daughter Catherine Ann, brothers John and Derry.

 

Maeve was a devoted wife to her adored husband Frank, a treasured mother of her children Aonghus, Lisa, Olga, Alexis and Jeffrey, and a dearly loved grandmother of Ben, Clodagh, Kelly, Siah, Isaac, Réidín and Malachy.

 

Sadly missed also by her beloved sister Ann, son-in-law Pat Walsh, daughters-in-law Evanna Lyons and Tayla Sanchez Tzirulnik Cronin, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a cherished wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Hyde’s Funeral Home, Drury’s Avenue, Midleton P25VW02 on Sunday 12th from 5pm – 6.30pm.

 

Requiem Mass on Monday 13th in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
