Dr Maeve Smyth (née O’Hanlon), Corkeeran, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan, peacefully in the Mater Hospital, Dublin on 31st May 2018. Predeceased by her husband, Dr Tom. Much loved mother of Michael (Drumcondra), Dr Deirdre Moran (Monaghan), Dr Fionnuala Brophy (Terenure) and John (Drumcondra); beloved sister of Dr Rory O’Hanlon (Carrickmacross), Sr Deirdre O’Hanlon (Sisters of St Louis, Juilly, France) and Sr Fionnuala (Sisters of St. Louis, Middleton, Co. Armagh).
Adored grandmother to Anna, Kevin, Clare, Ultán, Shane, Tom, Donal, Fionnán, John and James; sadly missed by sons-in-law Drs Larry Moran and Pat Brophy, daughter-in-law Geraldine (Delaney), sister-in-law Teresa O’Hanlon, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at the family home in Corkeeran, Ballybay on Friday from 11am to 10pm. Removal Saturday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballybay for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
