Maggie Furey (née Armstrong), Cullen Upper, Three Mile Water, Co. Wicklow & formerly Broomhill, Northumberland, UK. Loving daughter of the late Jim, sadly missed by her loving husband Eric, mother Margaret Armstrong, sister Linda, extended family, relatives and friends.

"I am devastated to announce that my dear wife and soulmate Maggie has passed away. Life dealt her a terrible hand, but she always faced up to it with strength and dignity. On the 3rd of November, two days before her 61st birthday her body could fight no more.

I am empty. I am distraught.

She was my North, my South, my East and West,

My working week and my Sunday rest,

My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;

I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now; put out every one;

Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;

Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.

For nothing now can ever come to any good.

Maggie will be reposing at McCrea's Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town from 2.00pm Wednesday with removal Thursday at 12.30pm to Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross, Dublin, arriving for 2.00pm Cremation Service. Enquiries to McCrea's Funeral Home, Wicklow Town 0404 - 69000.
