The death has occurred of Maí Byrne (née Fenton) - Auburn Terrace, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath – March 11, 2024 (peacefully) in the tender care of the staff at Thomond Lodge Nursing Home, Ballymahon, Co. Longford. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Della, and brothers Arthur and Noel. Beloved wife of Joseph, dearly loved mother of David (Daibhí), Stephen, Robert and Emma, and cherished grandmother of Jack, Aaron, Kate, Shane, Eoin, Aidan, Ruairí, Elyse, Luke, Eve, Darragh, Robyn and Finn. Maí will be forever loved and remembered by her devoted family, daughters-in-law Aida, Mary and Adrienne, son-in-law Jason, dear brother Robbie (Canada) and dear sister Freda White (Abbeyshrule), brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and her many friends.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home (N91 K660) on Wednesday from 7 pm concluding with prayers at 9 pm. Maí’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 1 pm in the Cathedral of Christ the King and may be viewed on the live webcam here. Cremation Service will take place in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan at 4 pm.
