Máire passed away peacefully on Thursday 17th April, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

 

Beloved wife of the late Thomas and much loved mother of Tom, Brian, Elizabeth and Gearóid.

 

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her daughter and sons, son-in-law George, daughters-in-law Kitty and Emma, brothers Seán and Brian.

 

Lovingly remembered with great affection by her grandchildren Joseph, Fionn, Gizzy, Sarah, Aoife, Peter and Rose, the extended O'Donoghue and McMenamin family and friends.

Funeral Arrangements:

Tuesday 21st April, 2026

Máire will lie in Repose at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. with Removal at 6.30 p.m. to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill.

Wednesday 22nd April, 2026

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Máire at 11.00 a.m. Following Mass she will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery.

Parking information

Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park.

Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh on Henry Street and Sea Road.

Car parks within walking distance of the parlour:

The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.

There is limited space for immediate family members within the grounds of the funeral parlour. Some space is reserved for guests with mobility needs.
