The death has occurred of Máire Uí Ghaora (Mary Geary) née Deasy, Carraroe, Co. Galway / Bandon, Co. Cork.
Ó Gaora / Geary (Carraroe &Bandon) on the 10th December 2023, peacefully in the excellent care of the staff at Aras Chois Fharraige, Spidéal. Máire, dearly beloved wife of the late Seán Ó Gaora (Jack) and dear sister of Noreen Deasy (Bantry) and Jimmy Deasy (Bandon). Predeceased by her late brothers Liam and Fr. Eddie. Sadly missed by her brothers in law Padraic Ó Gaora,Tom Ó Gaora and her sisters in law Anne de Courcey, Maureen Vaughan, Barbara Mc Gowan, Mary Deasy and Norma Deasy.
Máire will be sadly missed by her nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, friends and her close friend Máire Wyndham.
May Máire's gentle soul Rest in Peace.
Lying in repose at her residence in Doire Fhearta Mór, An Cheathrú Rua on Wednesday, 13th December 2023, from 4pm to 7pm. Removal to Séipéal Mhic Dara, An Cheathrú Rua H91 DV2N, on Thursday, 14th December, for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Mweenish Cemetery, Carna, Co. Galway. Family flowers only, please.
