(née Quigley)
Maire Whelan (née Quigley) N.T. (Retired Principal of St. Malachy’s Girls School) Ard Easmuinn, Dundalk. Peacefully, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, 28th April 2021. Maire, much loved wife of the late John, dear mother of Pádraic, Moireen Taggart, Eoghan and Seán, loving grandmother of Cian, Éabha, Aislinn, Conal and Luca, sister of Patricia O’Donoghue and mother-in-law of Christina, Tony and the late Ines. Maire will be sadly missed by her sons, daughter, grandchildren, sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Due to Government guidelines, Maire’s Funeral Mass will take place privately on Saturday at 11am in Church of the Holy Redeemer, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed on www.holyredeemerparish.ie
There will be an opportunity for the community to pay their respects as Maire’s cortège will leave Mc Geoughs Funeral Home at 10.30am and will pass her home on the way to the Church.
