Mairéad Markey née Lennon, The Saltings, Lurgangreen, Dublin Road, Dundalk, Co. Louth. Passed away peacefully in St. Francis’s Hospice, Blanchardstown, Dublin, surrounded by her loving Family, on Friday 19th December 2025. Mairéad, daughter of the late Gerry and Margaret Lennon, loving wife and best friend of Brian, dear mother of Steven and Robin, devoted Nana/Nanny of Lily-Rose, Lucas and Ellen and sister of Maria, Andrew and Finola.
Mairéad will be very sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, sons, grandchildren, daughters-in-law Kathryn and Natasha, brother, sisters, brothers’s-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May She Rest in Peace

Mairéad will repose at her home (A91 A4WF) from 2pm until 6pm on Sunday. HOUSE PRIVATE AT ALL OTHER TIMES. Removal on Monday morning to St. Oliver Plunkett Church Blackrock (A91 DD56), arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Fursey’s Cemetery, Haggardstown (A91 XH75).
