Mairéad Monaghan
(née Diskin)

The death has occurred of Mairéad Monaghan (Nee Diskin) The Orchard Moylough. (formerly Cloonkell, Clonberne). Mairéad passed away peacefully on the 18th March surrounded by her loving family in the exceptional care of the staff of Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe, following an illness courageously battled. Pre-deceased by her parents Seán and Mary and father in-law Peter.

 

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her devoted husband Frank, brothers Shane and Pat, sister Miriam, mother-in-law Phil, sister-in-law Marie and Miriam's partner Paul, adored nieces Emma, Chloe, Lily and Maisie and nephew Seán, Frank's siblings Mary, Brian and Bernie, their spouses Edgard, Marie and Ciaran and nieces Amy and Sarah, Aunts Breege (Roche), Kathleen (Kelly), Geraldine (Hitchiner) and Rita (Warren), her many cousins, relatives and friends.

 

May Mairéad's gentle soul rest in peace.

 

Reposing at Gilmore's Funeral Home, Moylough (H53V6Y3) on Friday 20th March 2026 from 6pm to 8pm with removal afterwards to her home. Private removal from her residence on Saturday morning March 21st for requiem Mass at St Patrick's Church, Moylough (H53X273) at 12.30pm with burial afterwards in Moylough Cemetery.
