Malachy Scott, Kiltycreevagh, Ballinamuck, Co. Longford, and formerly of Ballynacargy, Co. Westmeath, on Friday, 17th April 2026, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the exceptional care of the staff of Mullingar General Hospital.

Predeceased by his beloved recently deceased wife Philomena, son Colin, parents James and Margaret, brother Jimmy, and sister Mary Maher.

Malachy will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his nephews and nieces Michael, Audrey, Damien, Fiona, James and Davina; his extended family in Ballinamuck — Michael McNally, Belinda, Fiona, Garry, Michelle, Marie, Jenni and Cillian; relatives, many good friends and neighbours.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his home in Kiltycreevagh, Ballinamuck (Eircode N39 E9V4) on Sunday, 19th April, from 5pm, concluding with prayers at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday, 20th April, in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck, arriving for 12 noon, followed by burial in Ballinamuck New Cemetery.
