It is with deep sadness that the relatives of Marcela share the news of her death with you. Marcela died, age 54 peacefully after battling with Cancer which she bore with great privacy and dignity. She died in the wonderful care of all the staff of the Mater Hospital, Dublin surrounded by her cousins Lydia, Estela, Danessa, Rosalin and her employers Brian and Caitriona.
Dearly beloved daughter of Carmelita and the late Benvienido (Philippines) and much-loved sister of Alexander, Martino, Santiago, Marife and Felipe. Deeply mourned and missed by her mother, brothers and sister, aunties and uncles, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews in the Philippines. Fondly remembered by her friends and the extended family in Ireland and the Philippines.

Funeral Arrangements
Friday, 6 March 2026: Marcela will lie in Repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, 7 March 2026 A Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Marcela at 11 a.m. on arrival at St. Patrick’s Church, Forster Street. Private cremation to follow.
Online Book of Condolence is preferable for your message of sympathy, and this may be left in the online Book of Condolence below. This will be deeply appreciated by the family in the Philippines. A Physical Book of Condolence will not be present at the funeral.

Parking and the Entrance to the Funeral Parlour.
Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Road works continue within the city, with road diversions in place.
Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.
