Margaret Bennett
(née Sammon)

Margaret Bennett,(née) Sammon, Leigh, Lancashire, England, and formerly of Rushenduff, Renvyle, Co. Galway. Margaret passed away peacefully at her home on December 6th 2025 after a very brave and fiercely fought illness. Predeceased by her parents Johnny and Katie Sammon, her brothers Vincent and John Joe, and her sister Kathleen and Sammon family members. Margaret was the beloved mother of Shaun, mother in law to Julie, and grandmother to Carl and Todd, granddaughters in law Danielle and Joanne and fondly remembered by her great grandchildren Darcy, Noah, and Theo. Sadly missed by her brothers Thomas and Stephen, and her sisters Anne, Josephine and Geraldine, and her brothers-in-law and sister's-in- law, nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Requiem Mass for Margaret will take place on Wednesday January 14th 2026 at 1-30pm in the Sacred Heart Church, Walmesley Rd. Leigh, WN71YE. followed by cremation at 3pm at Howes Bridge Crematorium, Lovers Lane, Atherton, M46OPZ.

The family would like to invite you for refreshments afterwards to the Holiday Inn Express, Leigh Sports Village, Sale Way, Leigh, WN74JY.
