Margaret Canavan (née O’Connell) passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on 29th September 2025. Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Annie O’Connell, and her husband Gerry. Margaret will be dearly missed by her five daughters Teresa, Olive, Marie, Anne and Lorna, her much loved grandchildren Anna, Maeve, Robert, Marianne, John, Rory and Hugh, sons-in-law Tony, John and Liam, her brothers Jackie and Damien, her sisters Kathleen and Olive, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and friends as well as the family pets Daisy and Poppy.

May Margaret’s gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Cushen’s Funeral Home, Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown (R21 V127) on Tuesday, 30th September, from 3pm until 8pm, with prayers at 7pm. Removal from Cushen’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, 1st October, to arrive at St. Andrew’s Church, Bagenalstown for Requiem Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in The Cemetery of the Assumption, Bagenalstown.
