Margaret's husband, John and family are deeply saddened to share the news of Margaret’s death at home on Easter Sunday, 5th April 2026.
Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her husband and children Mike, John, Karen, Patrick and Robert.
Predeceased by her infant daughter Carmel and by her parents, Mary and Mike, sisters Kathleen, Jean and Ann and brother Mike.
Dearly loved and sadly missed also by her sister Bridget, brothers Martin, Johnny, Paddy and Anthony, daughters-in-law and partners Georgina, Marie, Helen and Seona, her grandchildren who were so important to her and such a big part of her life, many nieces and nephews, neighbours, extended family, and many lovely friends.
Margaret was extremely grateful to the wonderful staff of St. Joseph’s Ward at Galway University Hospital and the Galway Hospice who provided excellent care and could not have been more helpful and kind to her and to all her family.

Funeral Arrangements
Wednesday, 8th April 2026
Margaret will lie in Repose at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Removal at 6.30 p.m. to St. Mary's Church, Claddagh to arrive on or before 7 p.m.
Thursday, 9th April 2026
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Margaret at 11 a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery. This Mass will be live streamed: https://www.dominicanscladdagh.ie/live-webcam/
Family Flowers. If you would like to make a donation in Margaret's memory please give to St. Joseph’s Ward, (GUH) or to the Galway Hospice.

Parking Information
Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park.
Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, on Henry Street, Sea Road, The Crescent, Dr. Colohan Road.
Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.
There is limited space for the immediate members of Margaret's family within the grounds of the funeral parlour. Some space is reserved for guests with mobility needs.
