Margaret Hallahan

Hallahan (Newcestown, Crookstown and Ballyvourney) on February 16th 2026, peacefully in Macroom Community Hospital surrounded by her family after an illness borne with great dignity. Margaret (nee Lynch), wife of the late Denis (Denny), loving mother of Padraig, Jack, Brid (Ballyvourney) and Mairead (Magnier, Kilworth), sister of the late Sheila (Sr. Rita), Connie, Nellie, Donal and Mary.

Sadly missed by her children, daughters-in-law Eileen (O'Sullivan) and Fidelma (Deasy), son-in-law Seán, adored grandchildren Marie, Elaine, Rachel, Clodagh, Alisha and Ciara, sister-in-law Sheila Lynch (Listowel), nephews, nieces, relatives and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Margaret will be lying in repose at Gabriel and O'Donovan's Funeral Home, Bandon (eircode P72WE20) on Thursday from 6pm followed by prayers at 8.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon in St. John the Baptist Church, Newcestown (family will be in attendance from 11.30am) which will be livestreamed on the Murragh and Templemartin Parish Facebook page, funeral afterwards to the adjoining Cemetery.
