Margaret Halpin

The death has taken place of Margaret Halpin (66), Carn, Ardara, formerly Gateshead, England. Peacefully at Donegal Community Hospital surrounded by family.

 

Predeceased by her parents Harry and Mary, brothers Harry and John. Beloved wife of Terry. Dearest sister and best friend to Mary(Rock). Devoted Aunt to Toni and Jack and cherished great-Aunt to Harry and Seth. She will be greatly missed by her brother-in-law Finbar, as well as the wider family circle in England, brother Michael, her friends and neighbours.

 

She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final months.

She will travel home to her adopted and adored home of Ardara to repose at Shovlins Funeral Home, Sandfield followed by private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Her family would like to thank all involved in the care of Margaret. The teams at Donegal Town Community Hospital and the Donegal Hospice, Dr Sweeney and Dr Eleanor Cape and all the staff of the Ardara Health Centre, the Home Help Team.
