(née Smyth)

Margaret Hayes (née Smyth) died peacefully and beautifully today at her home in Skryne, County Meath surrounded by her family and in the arms of her daughter and her grandchildren at the wonderful age of 93. Predeceased by her loving husband Jim, her beloved son Gerard, Sisters Mary, Carmel, baby Eileen and brothers Sean and Denis.

Everybody who knows Margaret will know the truly remarkable woman she was. Not only because of the contribution she made to so many lives, but also because of the brave and generous person she was, full of life, full of fun, full of forgiveness.

 

Margaret will be missed by so many people, who knew and loved her and especially by her children, Mary, Liam, Carmel-Anne, and Eileen, her sister Emily, brothers Patrick and Brian, her daughter-in-law Anne, her sons-in-law Harry, Sean and Fergal, her sisters-in-law, her 13 grandchildren, her 2 great-granddaughters, her nephews and nieces, and many friends and neighbours. All will feel enormously grateful to life and to her for all she has given them and will continue to give.

Reposing at her home, on Tuesday 30th of December from 4pm to 7pm.

Removal on Wednesday to St Colmcille's Church, Skryne, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm which can be viewed live from the webstream link below

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

 

Parking for Margaret’s reposal will be at Skryne GFC (C15 WY90). There will be a shuttle bus in operation from 4pm on Tuesday.
