Margaret Lohan
(née Cunniffe)

Claggernagh East, Portumna, Galway / Four Roads, Roscommon

Margaret passed peacefully from this life, after a long illness fought with dignity and courage, on 22nd February, in the care of the staff of Galway University Hospital and surrounded, as she was in life, by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Denis and Maureen Cunniffe (Liswilliam, Dysart, Co Roscommon)

Margaret was a devoted mother to Sinéad, Fiona, Ruth, Sarah and Seán and a loving wife to her heartbroken husband Padraig.

She will be deeply missed and always remembered by her husband and children, her sisters Denise, Joanne, Fiona and Maura, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, her mother-in-law Ann Lohan, her aunts, nieces and nephews, members of the extended family, her teaching colleagues, neighbours and friends.

Margaret will repose in Dignity Funeral Care, funeral home, on the grounds of Portumna Retirement Village on Tuesday 24th February from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral cortege will arrive at St Brigid's Church Portumna on Wednesday 25th February at 10.45am for Requiem Mass for Margaret at 11am.

Burial will take place after Mass in St Michael's cemetery Portumna.
