(née Togher)

Margaret McHale (nee Togher), Ocean View, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly of Furbo, Galway peacefully at her residence on 8th May 2021. Predeceased by her adoring husband Peter. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family, Michael (Toronto, Canada), Noel (Dublin), Caroline (Belmullet) and Mary (Belmullet), grandchildren Stevie, Robert, Sarah and Mikey, daughter in law Ruth, son in law Michael, sisters May, Ann and Josephine, brothers T.J. and Liam, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal from her residence on Sunday evening at 6.30pm with funeral arriving at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 10am, followed by burial in Emlybeg Cemetery. The funeral will travel via the Togher residence (Emlybeg South) en route to Emlybeg Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Mayo/Roscommon Hospice. Donations may be made online via the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice website.

In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, Margaret’s funeral will be private to family and close friends only, with a maximum of fifty people in attendance. For those who would like to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passes through the town on Sunday evening and en route from the church to the cemetery via Emlybeg South on Monday, please stand in a socially distanced manner on the streets, roadsides, outside the church and cemetery, ensuring public health and safety is being upheld to the highest standard. The McHale family appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.

Memorial Mass for Margaret will be held at a later date. For those who cannot attend the funeral due to the restrictions, please leave a personal message for the family on the condolence form on this webpage.
