Margaret McHugh
(née Mannix)

The death has occurred of Margaret McHugh (née Mannix), Ballinrobe Road, Castlebar and formerly of Cloonflynn, Ballyglass, Claremorris on 27th November 2024. Margaret was a native of Purranes, Hollymount, Claremorris.

Dearly loved wife of the late John. She was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Mary (née Connolly) Coolmeen, Mayo Abbey and her sisters Lena Murphy and Molly Mannix and her brothers Jack, Joe, Martin and William (who died in infancy).

Loving mother of Michael, Martin, John, Frank, Marguerite, Dympna and Alan.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren Shauna, Mark, Dylan, Keelan, Gemma, Leon, Ryan, Callum and Mia, great granddaughter Rylie, her brother Frank (Purranes, Hollymount), son-in-law Joe, daughters-in-law Jennifer and Siobhain, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Margaret will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar F23 HT38 on Sunday 1st December from 4.00pm to 6.00pm

The Funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Monday for Funeral Mass at 11.00am

The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar or can be listened to in Castlebar on the Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3fm

Margaret will be laid to rest with her beloved husband John in Castlebar New Cemetery.
