Birchall (nee Delahunt), Margaret (Peg) – Dunbuainn, Prosperous and formerly of Kilwarden, Kill, Co. Kildare.

Died peacefully on 29th August 2025, at Naas General Hospital, after bravely battling a long-term illness.

Peg is predeceased by her beloved children, Declan and Deirdre, and her dear brother Sean. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Francis (Frank), her daughter Fiona, sons Ger, Donal, and Ciarain, her sister Bernie, and her brother Paul. Peg is also mourned by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, daughter-in-law Juliet, son-in-law Mark, and her cherished grandchildren Emma, Eanna, Callum, Jodie, and Joshua, as well as her great-grandchildren. She will be remembered with great effection by her extended family, friends, neighbours, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Peg's kindness, strength, and sense of humour will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who loved her.

Peg will repose at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Prosperous, (W91T62P) on Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm, with prayers at 7pm. Removal from her home on Wednesday morning, to arrive at the Church of Our Lady and St. Joseph, Prosperous, for 11am funeral mass, followed by burial in Killybegs Cemetery. Those who are unable to attend the funeral, please leave a personal message for the family in the condolences section below.

Peg’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported her during her illness especially the caring staff of Moate Ward and Sarah from the Palliative care team at Naas General Hospital. Your kindness will always be remembered.
