Margaret (Rita) Doherty

Doherty, Margaret (Rita), 8th December 2025 (Bluebell); passed peacefully, surrounded by love and in the kind care of the staff of St. James’s Hospital.

 

Beloved daughter of the late Paddy and Nellie, cherished auntie and loving stand-in-mammy to Wendy and devoted honorary nanny to Colt and Tyler. Margaret will be forever loved and sadly missed by Wendy and her husband Wayne and their children Colt and Tyler, her wonderful care team Audrey and Miriam, her neighbours and friends especially Joan.

 

Wendy would like to express her heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Hugh McMahon, Practice manager Margaret and receptionist Miriam of Thomas Court Medical Centre for their love, support, kindness and understanding shown to Margaret over the years. A special and deep felt thankyou to her long-time carer Audrey, whose exceptional care, compassion and warmth made all the difference to Margaret for so many years, Wendy will be forever grateful to you all.

A Celebration of Margaret’s life will take place on Friday (12th December) at 2.15pm in the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium followed by Cremation.
