Margaret (Rita) McDonald
(née Shinnick)
McDonald (Hazlewood Close, Glanmire and formerly Corrib Lawn, Mayfield and Gurranabraher Avenue), on April 17th 2026, peacefully in the presence of her loving family at The Mercy University Hospital; Margaret (Rita) (née Shinnick), beloved wife of Robert, much loved mother of Majella, Derek and Natasha, loving daughter of the late Julia and dearest sister of the late Bernie (Monger). Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, daughters, son, grandchildren Kelly, Aaron, Hollie, Faye, Samantha, Atlas, Altair, great-grandchildren Kaia, Rio, Harrison, Lucy, Mila, Darcy, Oliver and Haven, sons-in-law Adrian and Ali, also Michael, Zoe, Ross and Cameron, relatives, neighbours, a large circle of friends and the Wednesday night girls.
Visitation at O’ Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Monday 20th April from 5.00pm to 6.00pm, with prayers at 5.45pm. Requiem Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Mayfield on Tuesday 21st April at 11.00am, which will be live-streamed on www.churchservices.tv/stjosephsoyr Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.
