The death has occurred of
Margaret Russell
(née McCarthy)
On September 7th 2023, unexpectedly but peacefully in the presence of her family and in the loving care of staff at Aperee Living, Bantry. Margaret, beloved wife of the late Paddy and partner of the late Danny Murphy, adored mother of John, Patrick, Jacinta (Barry), Mary (Dix), Mike and Majella (Rooney), dear sister of Bridget and the late Patricia. Sadly missed by her family, sons-in-law Gerdy, Phil and Gary, daughters-in-law Helen, Claire and Sarintina, grandchildren, Darren, Emma, Aaron, Laura, Russell, Liadh, Sophie, Fionn, Katie, Priya, Paddy, Lucy-Belle, Amelia, Anna and Alfie, brother-in-law Jackie and his wife Sheila, sister-in-law Jenny, nephews, relatives, and a large circle of friends.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing in Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St, Bantry on Friday Sept. 8, from 6pm followed by vigil prayers at 8pm. Funeral cortege will leave her home on Saturday Sept. 9, at 10.30am approx. for requiem Mass at 12 noon at St. Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to the Friends of Bantry General Hospital, c/o Bantry General Hospital.
