The death has occurred of Margaret Smith, Corsillago, Lisnalong, Co.Monaghan on the 10th January 2026 peaceful at Cavan general hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Tommy and Mary.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving husband Brian, and her son Bernard, her Daughter in law Carmel and her adored granddaughter Ellie. Her brother Declan, sisters Olivia, Cheedy (Sean), Pauline (Patsy), and all her relatives, friends and neighbours.

Margaret will repose at Smyth's Funeral Home, Ballybay, eircode A75 RH96 on Sunday 11th January 2026 from 2pm until 6pm.
Removal from her home on Monday morning to arrive at Saint Michael's Church Cootehill for 11am funeral mass, Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Cootehill first responders, c/o Smyth's Funeral Directors Ballybay or any family member.
