MARGARET THERESA MAGUIRE (née O’ Brien) Churchtown South, Cloyne, Midleton, County Cork. Recently retired from a lifelong service of devotion to St. Colmcille’s Catholic Church.

Theresa passed away in the excellent care of the staff of St. Finbarr’s Ward at the Mercy University Hospital, Cork City on the 13th June 2025.

Beloved wife of the late John Maguire (Cork County Council) and exceptional mother to daughters Anna and the late Geraldine and to her sons Dave and John.

Daughter of the late Jack and Maggie O’Brien, Guileen and Upper Aghada. Sister of the late Annie Hallisey, Kate O’Sullivan, Betty Higgins, John Michael O’Brien and Tom O’Brien. Survived by her brothers Richie and George.

Lovingly remembered by her sons-in-law Dave, Diarmuid and Owen and daughter-in-law Cathy, her adored grandchildren Lisa, Jack, Joanne and Brendan, Dede and Tom, Anna and James and great grandchild Rory.

A special mention to her niece Stephanie Leahy whom Theresa clearly loved.

Theresa will repose in Hyde’s Funeral Home, Drury’s Avenue, Midleton P25VW02 on Sunday the 15th of June from 5pm until 6:30pm.

Requiem Mass at 11am on Tuesday the 17th of June in St. Colmcille’s Church, Churchtown South. Interment afterwards in the local cemetery.

In keeping with Theresa’s wishes, wear bright colours please.
