The death has occurred of Margaret Thompson, née Sice, Tarmon, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Boyhill, Athenry, Co. Galway - 14th May 2025, peacefully surrounded by her husband and family in the wonderful care of the staff of Fearna Nursing Home, Castlerea. Predeceased by her parents, Pat and Margaret Sice, her brothers, Tommy, Paddy, Tony and her sisters, Chrissie and Philomena. Margaret will be sadly missed by her adoring husband Padraig and her loving children Maria, Bernie, Anne, Mags, Patrick and Joseph, her fourteen cherished grandchildren, her sons-in-law Niall, Jake, and Mark, daughters-in-law Veena and Eilis, sisters Bridie and Kathleen, her sisters-in-law Ann and Beatrice, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Gaynor’s Funeral Home, The Square, Castlerea (F45 HH24) on Sunday, 18th May from 4pm to 7pm with removal afterwards to St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea arriving for 7:30pm (approx). Mass of the Resurrection will take place at 11am on Monday, 19th May, followed by burial in St Joseph’s Cemetery.
